Many of the places that inspired Astonbury and the Dickens & Christie mysteries first captured my imagination during my travels through the Cotswolds and beyond.
Many appear in the books almost exactly as I found them. Others arrived wearing new names and disguises.

Sometimes you simply know.
I spent less than two hours in Fowey, yet by the time I left I knew Leta and Dave belonged there.
The harbor, the literary history, the connection to Daphne du Maurier, and the unmistakable atmosphere of Cornwall all combined to make this feel like exactly the right place for their next adventures.
Sometimes inspiration works that way.
